Stitchology out and about

Did you know that I take my "show on the road" and that you can find me at local sewing stores and quilt shops?  I even  leave my cozy little home town at times and accept conference teaching gigs!

Coming up soon at Chattanooga Sewing -

I will totally be getting my ruffle-on and teaching all about the ruffling foot.  This retro gizmo can do all sorts of amazing things and you can learn to be a ruffling maven in no time at all!

Liberated Stars will also be seen this Fall....  this is a rather sedate version..  but when I get going these are as wild and funky as it gets!

More to come.....

Celebrating by giving back!

Dear all... I am getting so close.. of course everything takes way longer than it should and money does not grow on trees that is for sure but one thing is true.. I am blessed beyond measure.   With my blessings in mind I want to give back and have chosen to do so by sponsoring a sew-in for the Days of Girls Organization

Please take some time to get to know the mission of this most wonderful charity. No girl, or woman should have to go without feminine hygiene items or be forced to stay home from school or work due to lack of these most basic of supplies.

In order to include as many people and sewing levels as possible we will be making the drawstring bags that are needed to hold the pads, washcloths and soap that DFG supplies for those who need it most.

You can join the celebration in a couple of differnt ways-

Come to the sew-in on September 3 from 7-10pm at the Stitchology studio in Chattanooga. Bring your machine and white thread and scissors. ( please RSVP so I have have enough supplies ready! maddie6@bellsouth.net)

Can't come but have fabric?- we need you too!  Good quality quilting weigh fabrics that are at least 16x22 inches in size are what the bags are constructed from. Pattern and color do not matter. Please contact me about dropping off your donation or shipping it to me if you are father away! maddie6@bellsouth.net

Don't sew but want to help?  Days for Girls needs new  cotton wash cloths and packs of new cotton panties, if you would like to buy some and drop them by the studio I will make sure they get in the box and are shipped to the DFG distribution center.

Short of time or too far away?... you can dontate directly to DFG at this link  DONATE
